The Clinical Edge

Processwork, Trauma & Advanced Practice for SPM™ Practitioners

A three-month advanced clinical training for certified Self-Pleasure Practitioners

"Designed exclusively for practitioners who hold the SPM™ Certification, this three-month advanced training weaves Process-Oriented Psychology, trauma-informed clinical practice, and nationally recognised counselling competencies into a cohesive, embodied framework — so that you can meet your clients with genuine depth, regulation, and confidence."

You have trained in the Self-Pleasure Modality™. You understand the practice. You believe in its capacity to transform.

And yet — when a client's nervous system floods, when a triggered response moves through the room, when grief and erotic energy arrive together and something in you doesn't know where to put it — you want more. You want a framework. You want clinical ground beneath your feet.

The Clinical Edge is that ground.

Designed exclusively for practitioners who hold the SPM™ Certification, this three-month advanced training weaves Process-Oriented Psychology, trauma-informed clinical practice, and nationally recognised counselling competencies into a cohesive, embodied framework — so that you can meet your clients with genuine depth, regulation, and confidence.

It also provides business support to ensure if you want to make this a business you can!

Delivered by Rachel Rowlatt — Process-Oriented Psychotherapist, Sexologist, and PACFA-accredited Counsellor — this program does not teach you to be a different kind of practitioner. It teaches you deeper skills, awareness and capacity.

What you will develop

A working understanding of Process-Oriented Psychotherapy as a clinical framework — including signal theory, edges, secondary processes, altered states, and deep democracy — and how to apply these directly within SPM™ sessions.

Clinical confidence in working with nervous system responses, trauma, and triggered states as they arise in the room. You will learn to track, co-regulate, and follow — rather than manage, suppress, or redirect.

The capacity to hold a client's full expression — grief, shame, erotic energy, rage, numbness — without collapsing, rescuing, or shutting the process down.

Demonstrated clinical competency in three core Processwork practice modalities — working with a

— Dreamingbody process

— Relationship process

— Body Symptom process

Each conducted within a sexuality and self-pleasure informed session context with a real client, video recorded, and submitted for formal Pathways assessment. These are not theoretical exercises. They are the lived proof that you can hold this work.

A clear, clinically grounded framework for integrating SPM™ within private practice in a way that is widely accepted, professionally credible, and ethically sound.

What you will receive

Across three months of core training plus one month of supported integration, you receive:

Three months of structured online learning delivered through self-paced modules, live sessions, and dyad and partnered practice — so that the learning lives in your body, not just your notes.

Clinical supervision on clients you are currently working with or begin to work with across the program period — giving you real-time, supported experience of applying what you are learning.

Two nationally recognised units from the Diploma of Counselling — CHCCSL003 and CHCCSL006 — assessed and issued through Pathways Psychology Institute (RTO 45397).

A certificate of completion from Liminalis — School of Relational Arts.

Meeting requirements for direct entry into the Pathways Graduate Diploma of Trauma Informed Process Oriented Psychotherapy, for those who wish to continue.

Membership of a private peer group on Telegram — a space to continue practising, reflecting, and being in community with other graduates of the program.

A note on scope and qualification

The Clinical Edge provides you with two nationally recognised Diploma of Counselling units — delivered through Liminalis School of Relational Arts in partnership with Pathways Psychology Institute (RTO 45397) — and the processwork depth to meaningfully expand your clinical capacity, skill, and confidence in working with clients within a sexuality and

self-pleasure context.

This program does not qualify you to work as a Process-Oriented Psychotherapist. As with all professional practice, you are expected to operate within your level of qualification and authority at all times.

For those who wish to continue, completion of this program provides direct entry into the Pathways Graduate Diploma of Trauma Informed Process Oriented Psychotherapy — the pathway toward full processwork psychotherapy accreditation. Alternatively, the two units may be used toward a Diploma level counselling qualification.

A note for international practitioners

The two Diploma of Counselling units completed in this program are Australian nationally recognised qualifications. International students are encouraged to present these units of competency to their own registering body or training institution for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), where no direct equivalent exists in their country. Rachel is available to support this process where needed.

Who this is for

Certified SPM™ practitioners who are ready to deepen their clinical foundation — whether they are already working with clients or preparing to do so. This program is not an introduction to the Self-Pleasure Modality™. It is the next step for those who have completed the SPM™ Certification and are ready to hold their work within a rigorous, clinically recognised framework.
